How Tasteful Memories works

Are you creating a family cookbook for yourself, or giving one as a gift?

Give them a place to preserve the recipes only they know

Send the gift now. The cookbook comes together later, at their pace, with as much help from family as they would like.

Step 1

Choose questions that bring their memories back

Start with questions tailored to their life, family and food traditions, or explore our library for more. They can add their own, adjust any suggestion or invite family to ask what they have always wanted to know.

Step 2

We send the author a new question each week

Questions arrive by email. Using any device, they can speak, record a video, write or scan a handwritten recipe card. No app or login needed, and the schedule can be changed or paused at any time.

Step 3

Their recipes and memories become cookbook pages

We transcribe and clean up each recording, choose the right page design and fill it automatically. Scanned cards keep their original arrangement, and every page remains editable.

Step 4

Enjoy every recipe and memory together

As soon as a page is added, everyone you invite can read the recipe, hear the story or watch the recording. They can follow along or contribute recipes, photos and memories of their own.

Step 5

They make the cookbook their own

They can arrange recipes and memories into chapters, personalise the cover, change the wording, add or move photos, choose each page design and preview the entire cookbook before printing.

Step 6

Their cookbook becomes a family keepsake

When their cookbook feels complete, we’ll print and bind the included full-color copy. QR codes let the family hear the original voices and watch the recordings from its pages. Shipping and extra copies are charged separately.

Still have questions?

Start with the questions families ask us most.

The short answer
